All returns or exchanges must be completed within 30 days of the original shipping date. All items must also be unused and returned in both the original box and manufactures packaging (if applicable).
To return any item, either send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us toll-free at (888) 568-8538. To properly process your request and issue an RA number (Return Authorization), we will need your order number and/or your customer number as well as a brief, yet creative and entertaining, explanation for the return.
An item must be returned in packaging such as, but not limited to, a protective poly bag, a cardboard box or paper wrapping. Please do not place the return label directly onto the manufacturers packaging of the item being returned. Items returned to us incorrectly may, depending on the amount of damage, be subject to a serious reduction in the credit amount or an outright refusal for credit.
Incorrect or Defective Items
Should Hockey Outlet ship the incorrect product or size, or if you receive a defective item, Hockey Outlet will happily pay for both the return shipping of that item as well as any charges related to reshipping the corrected item to you.
You, the customer, will receive an email from FedEx that contains a return label charging our account for the shipment. To return the item, simply reseal the item in its original packaging, print and attach the return label and either drop the package off at your local FedEx location or schedule a pickup at your home or office. Once we receive the item, we will then ship the correct order at no cost to you.
Unwanted or Disliked Items
If you, the customer, decides that you do not like your order for whatever reason, you are only liable for the return shipping. To return the item, simply reseal the item in its original packaging, call or e-mail us for an RA number, write the RA number on the package and return the item to us via the delivery service of your choice. Once we receive the item, we will credit back your credit card less the original shipping charges. Of course, if you wish to exchange the item, we will ship the corrected item and simply charge the new shipping fees to you.
We have done away with the restocking fee for non-closeout items. Closeout items, on the other hand, will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Closeout items are listed as such on their individual product pages.
If the original order qualified for free shipping and you, the customer, decide to return the order for whatever reason, you are responsible for the return shipping. If you wish to exchange the item, we will ship the corrected item to you and charge the new shipping fees to your credit card on file. Free shipping only qualifies for the initial shipment and does not apply to returns or exchanges. Again, if Hockey Outlet shipped an incorrect or defective item, then both the return shipping of the incorrect item and the shipping of the corrected item occur at no cost to you.
Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
Any item that has been used, worn or played with.Ice hockey skates that have been sharpened.Special orders, team orders, and orders with special considerations.
Defective and/or Warranty Items
Per most manufacturers policies, ALL defective or warranty one-piece sticks, shafts, and replacement blades must be taken up with the manufacturer directly. All other defective or warranty items should be submitted to Hockey Outlet for processing and consideration .
